{"id":74,"date":"2021-06-26T09:27:25","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T09:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apressthemes.com\/help\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=74"},"modified":"2021-06-26T09:28:15","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T09:28:15","password":"","slug":"theme-installation-through-wordpress","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/apressthemes.com\/help\/docs\/theme-installation-through-wordpress\/","title":{"rendered":"Theme Installation Through WordPress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/thQRMY8wiJg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the zipped theme pack to your local computer and extract the ZIP file contents to a folder on your local computer.<\/li>\n<li>Log into your WordPress admin panel and click on the \u201cAppearance\u201d tab.<\/li>\n<li>Now click on the \u201cAdd New Themes\u201d tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cUpload\u201d button, \u201cBrowse\u201d for file called apress.zip in the extracted folder select \u201cOpen\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cInstall Now\u201d button.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the theme from this page, OR \u201cReturn to Themes Page\u201d and activate from there<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Warning!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While installing your theme through WordPress admin, you may encounter an error message saying \u201care sure you want to do this?\u201d.<br \/>\nThis is mainly due to your hosting php settings.<br \/>\nThe APRESS theme zip file is roughly around 40mb and in some hosting default value for max_upload_limit left default which is 2mb.<br \/>\nTo solve this problem you should either increase your maximum upload size (to 50mb) on your hosting admin panel or ask your host to do it for you if you do not have the privilege to alter your server php settings.<br \/>\nThis is a very common request and they should be able to help you out.<br \/>\nOnce the limit is increased you can re-try the install and you\u2019ll be all good to go.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After successfully install, goto Appearance &gt; Theme Options &gt; Click on Save All Changes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Download the zipped theme pack to your local computer and extract the ZIP file contents to a folder on your local computer.
